Deep Relaxation Practice in East Nashville

Join the Music of the Heart Nashville Sangha members on Saturday, March 4th, for a Deep Relaxation practice in East Nashville!

Deep Relaxation is a practice of resting. The relaxation practice is designed not only for those interested in mindfulness or Buddhism, but for anyone who needs to relieve stress. Working with the body’s innate capacity to heal itself, these exercises will help us to experience ever deeper levels of relaxation that can activate the body’s natural healing abilities.

What to expect: You will be lying down on meditation mats (provided) for approximately 60 minutes of guided meditation featuring a mix of spoken word and music. The goal here is not to fall into sleep, but rather to fall into a deep state of meditation.

What to bring: Meditation cushions are available if you need a pillow, otherwise feel free to bring your own cushion or pillow to rest your head. You may also want to bring a blanket or two. You can also bring your own floormat to use instead of the mats provided.

When to arrive: Please try to arrive a few minutes before 2:00 PM to find your spot and get settled.

Cost: This practice is being offered free of charge by the Music of the Heart Nashville Sangha, who practice in the tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village. There will be the opportunity to leave a donation (dana) for the sangha at the event.
